Bright Eyes Daycare & Out-of-School-Care (OSC) is a licensed centre in Beaumont, Alberta offering a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and out-of-school children can socialize, learn, and grow. We are known for our exceptional educational program that is structured around the child to allow them to create their own learning experience.
The centre, which welcomes children from Beaumont area, Leduc, and Nisku, can accommodate children from all backgrounds and support their learning and development 12 months to 12 years of age.
At Bright Eyes, our knowledgeable early childhood educators guide them through a blend of fun play activities while at other times our young learners are encouraged to initiate play with their peers. In order to help each child achieve their development milestones, we observe them to understand their learning style and respond with customized strategies that facilitate their learning.
Hi, I’m Ramneet Kang, Director of Bright Eyes Daycare & OSC. I have lived in Edmonton for 16 years with my husband, Mohinder, and our two boys, Gurshaan and Hargun. As director of Bright Eyes Daycare & OSC, it’s my responsibility to ensure you feel confident that you’ll be leaving your child in one of the best early learning programs for them.
I have built a strong team of early childhood educators who are true nurturers and caregivers. They’re some of the best in the region and they’ve impressed me with how much they care about children, how much they know about supporting child development, and how they understand the importance of creating a safe environment where your child can explore, learn and grow.
When I opened Bright Eyes Daycare & OSC in 2019, I already held a Bachelor of Education and Masters in English and had 10 years’ experience in childcare. I started my career as a summer school teacher at Meyokumin Elementary School, and in 2009 I started my first job in childcare – a job that I loved right away because I really enjoyed being around children. I knew even back then that childcare was my calling.
During my training and development as an early childcare educator, I have been fortunate to learn from many talented directors in the industry. I attended various Children’s Services workshops about guiding and supporting positive behaviours in children as well as Alberta Health Services workshops regarding child allergies, picky eaters, and other food-related challenges. I use my training every day to tend to the daily needs of each child including unique needs such as special dietary requirements and special education.
While raising my two boys, I realized that the availability and reliability of quality daycares was not meeting the growing demand for childcare services in the Beaumont area. As a mother raising two boys of my own, I understood the frustration—especially when you want to return to work but cannot find a place you trust for your little one. This deficiency in quality childcare and my boys, naturally, became my motivation to work on a solution. Fast forward to 2019 and I opened Bright Eyes Daycare & OSC not only to help families get off the long waiting lists, but to offer the best program for their children.

Our early childhood educators come from diverse backgrounds and understand what it means to offer a cozy, family-oriented atmosphere for our children. Each educator has a highly qualified background in childcare and a minimum of 2 years’ – some with as many as 8 years’ – experience working with children.
Every member of our team, including the admin and kitchen staff, are required to complete and maintain their First Aid/CPR certifications as well as a criminal & safety check. Our educators continue to expand their knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development workshops and their day-to-day experience with children.
